TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
Rebar couplers are mechanical splicing systems designed to connect two reinforcement bars (rebars) end-to-end, providing a continuous load path in concrete structures. Manufactured from high-strength carbon steel, typically 45# or equivalent, these couplers are engineered to meet or exceed the tensile and yield strength of the connected rebars. They are available in various types including standard, position, transition, weldable, and grout-filled couplers, suitable for rebar diameters ranging from 12mm to 50mm. The threading system used is either parallel or tapered, conforming to ISO metric standards such as ISO 68-1 and ISO 965. Rebar couplers undergo precision machining and heat treatment to ensure mechanical performance, offering tensile strength of at least 600 MPa and yield strength of 500 MPa, with a coupling efficiency of no less than 110% of the parent rebar.
Surface finishes include black, galvanized, or anti-corrosion coatings based on site requirements. These couplers comply with international construction codes such as ACI 318, BS 8110, ASTM A615/A706, and IS 16172, ensuring compatibility with global structural design practices. Easy to install using manual or hydraulic tools, rebar couplers eliminate the need for lap splicing and welding, reducing congestion in heavily reinforced zones. Ideal for use in bridges, high-rise buildings, dams, tunnels, and seismic-resistant structures, rebar couplers provide a reliable, cost-effective, and time-saving solution for reinforcing concrete continuity.
